Women Scientists Scheme (WOS-C) invites the application for Ph.D. women scientists. Those who have studied Ph.D. courses and need employment have an opportunity to apply.

The department of science and technology offers self-employment to women scientists. The women scientist who are very strong in their domain areas with basic computer knowledge, the written test question paper will be in objective type (MCQ). Those students who are qualified for the written test will be going for the second panel which is the interview round. In that round, 8-10 members will conduct an interview round.

The main objective of WOS-C scholarship 2024 is to empower talented and skilled women who have studied science and engineering, medicine in allied areas to contribute effectively to the advancement of science and technology in the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

Here are some eligibility criteria to apply for this scholarship, so students must hold post-graduation courses joining in Ph.D. courses are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The age should be more than 30 years and less than 50 years for women scientists or technologists.

Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for only SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged persons. Women scientists must be a citizen of India. Persons who are already in employment are not eligible. The students who do Ph.D. courses in the following subjects with basic computer knowledge are only eligible for Women Scientists Scheme (WOS-C) 2024.

Benefits under the scheme:
They will give fellowship an amount of 17,500/- rupees for Ph.D. and equivalent, 12,500/- rupees for M.S.C and equivalent, during training period they will incentive for the selected candidates the incentive 10000 rupees per month.

Application Procedure:

Selection Procedure:
From all those applicants they will select some of the candidates. The most preference will give to married women who are breaking the study for some reason. The screening committee will shortlist some of the candidates. They will conduct a written test for shortlisted candidates. The written test question paper will be in objective type (MCQ).

Those students who are qualified for the written test will be going for the second panel which is the interview round. In that round, 8-10 members will conduct an interview round. For selected candidates, they will give an orientation program for 2 months. And after that, they will give training for a period of one year with different agencies.

Training will include one month of an intensive orientation program on IPR followed by specialized workshops and hands-on training in agencies engaged in practicing IPR.
